1. GPAis an unique Credit-Bearing Graduate Program in Tunghai University,with all the courses taught in English.
2. Objective of establishment: To deal with the current complicated and pressing cross-county issues and organizational problems in the real world, future leaders should understand different languages, respect diverse cultures and have the analytic ability to solve complex issues. The Program provides, with the most completesocial science lineup in central Taiwan, solid training in social and policy analysis, coupled with all-English instruction and overseas recruitment. The purpose is to foster cross-area talents that are able to communicate and exchange in foreign languages and solve problems.
3. Sponsor: The College of Social Sciences.
4. Departments participating in teaching: Politics, Economics, Public Management and Policy, Sociology, Environmental Science and Engineering, Business Administration, Foreign Languages, and Landscape Architecture.
5. Lecturing faculty: the credit program and the lecturers will be arranged based on the featured teachers available at the participating departments.

7. Eligible students: any students who are registed in graduate schools at theTunghaiUniversity.
8. Credits requirement: Required courses are Introduction to Global/International Governance and Research Methods, (either Quantitative or Qualitative); elective courses are any in the Public affairs group, the Global governance group and the Collaborated electives, all 6 credits; a total of 12 credits earned completes the study of the Program, to which the University issues a certificate.
9. Period of study: A period of study is given to earn the specified number of credits in the Program; application for extending the period of study, up to two years, is allowed.
10. Regulation on credits: In case that a course in the Program is the same as one at the student’s original department, the credits of both courses will be recognized.
11. Enrolment: Applications for studying the Program can be filed in each May and September; upon the approval of the application, one can process the course enrollment. For course enrollment, please contact the Dean’s Office of College of Social Sciences. The courses already taken prior to the application will be recognized after the application according to rules of one’s original department.
12. These regulations are in force subject to the Academic Affairs Meeting after having been approved at the College’s and the University’s Curriculum Council meetings.
