Introduction of the Dean

Jeng Liu
The Dean of the College of Social Sciences, is Professor of the Department of Sociology.
 
Dr. Jeng Liu received his PhD degree from the Department of Sociology, the University of Texas at Austin, 1998.  After returning to Taiwan, Dr. Liu became Assistant Professor of Sociology, Nanhua University.  In 2001, Dr. Liu joined Department of Sociology, Tunghai University.  He promoted to be Associate Professor in 2003 and Full Professor in 2008.  Dr. Liu's research interests include Social Stratification and Mobility, Sociology of Education, and Quantitative Research Methods.  So far, he has published more than 30 journal articles and book chapters.  Dr. Liu has won the honor of Fulbright Exchange Scholarship in 2012 and the Japan Society for Promotion of Science Fellowship in 2015.  Also, he has served as the Associate Director of the Office of Research and Development, 2009-2011, and the Chair of Sociology Department, 2012-2015.  By August 2015, he was elected as the Dean of the College of Social Sciences.
